Limitations of the Express version

This help page presents some limitations of WinDev Mobile 15 Express in relation to "WinDev Mobile 15 commercial version".

Reminder: WinDev Mobile 15 Express is a "limited" version of WinDev Mobile 15. This version enables you to discover the main features of WinDev Mobile 15.

To check all the features of WinDev Mobile 15, some examples of "WinDev Mobile 15 commercial version" are supplied with this trial version.

Main limitations of the Express version

The performance of the applications developed with the Express version as well as some processes of the editors may be slowed down.
Some objects handled by WinDev Mobile 15 Express are prefixed by "EXPRESS".
A project created with "WinDev 15 commercial version" cannot be opened by WinDev Mobile 15 Express.
A project or an element created with WinDev 15 Express can be opened by "WinDev 15 commercial version". To use the project (or the elements) of the Express version without inopportune messages, the project (or the elements) must be saved in "WinDev Mobile 15 commercial version". For the project, an upgrade of the project may also be required ("Project .. Other .. Upgrade the project").
WinDev Mobile 15 Express does not allow you to import the projects developed with the earlier versions.
The Source Code Manager (SCM), used to share and manage the resources (source code, windows, reports, ... ) is not available.
WinDev Mobile 15 Express cannot be used in network by several developers. Only a single-computer use is allowed.

Note: A project created with an earlier Express version (WinDev Mobile 12 Express for example) can be opened and handled by WinDev Mobile 15 Express.

Generated executables
Miscellaneous	A warning message is regularly displayed when using the applications created with the Express version. The applications created with the Express version are automatically closed once they have been used during 1 hour. The lifetime of the applications created with the Express version is limited (a few weeks). The generation of applications for Android is not available in the Express version.
Setup editor

Miscellaneous	The Express version does not allow you to download the framework.
Various limitations
	The tools are also supplied in Express version. "WDConver" (tool for importing the external databases) is not available in the Express version. "WDModFic" (tool for applying the modifications made to the data files in the data model editor to the end-user computers) is not available in the Express version. The native accesses are not available in the Express version. The RTF text editor is not available in the Express version.
