1. HyperFileSQL Server module for Windows | The DVD is used to:- Install a new server.
- Upgrade an existing server.
- Uninstall a server.
Operations performed when installing a HyperFileSQL server The following operations are performed when installing a HyperFileSQL server:- installing all the files required by the HyperFileSQL server in the specified directory ("C:\HF Server" by default). Once these files have been installed, the Manta and MantaManager services will be automatically started.
- installing all the files required by the remote management tool (HyperFileSQL Control Center) in the "Administrator" sub-directory of the setup directory of HyperFileSQL server.
The name of the last connected user is automatically proposed when the "HyperFileSQL Control Center" is started. When the "HyperFileSQL Control Center" is started for the first time, the "admin" user is proposed by default. No password is assigned to this user. To select one of the users defined on the Manta server, enter the name of this user as well as his password.
When the HyperFileSQL server has been installed or updated, the different servers as well as MantaManager are referenced in the control panel. The servers and MantaManager can be uninstalled from the control panel of Windows ("Add/Remove programs"). |

2. HyperFileSQL Server module for Linux | To install the HyperFileSQL Client/Server server on a LINUX server: 1. Copy the following files to the server:- manta_install
- mantainstall.zip
- README
2. Connect to the server as "root"3. Run the manta_install file. You can:- Install a new server.
- Upgrade an existing server.
- Uninstall a server.
4. Follow the instructions displayed on the screen.Caution : The license must be entirely scrolled in order to display the following screens.Notes:- The server will be installed as "Daemon (service)".
- The following Linux versions are supported by the HyperFileSQL engine for Linux:
- Linux2 version : Red Hat 9, Mandrake 10, Debian Sarge, SuSE 9.2, Mandriva 2008
- Linux4 version : Debian Etch also named Debian 4.0, OpenSuse 10.3
